Information Regarding Congregational Finance

In recent months when contacting you by phone a regular topic of conversation has been the issue of congregational finance. I want to briefly address this issue and explain the ways in which you can contribute financially to our church family at this time. You will have received the same information via a letter as well.

At the beginning of this year the Congregational Committee introduced Standing Orders as a method of giving. Standing Orders should not be confused with Direct Debits because unlike Direct Debits, individuals have complete control over Standing Orders.

Standing Orders provide a creative and, perhaps most importantly, safe and secure way of contributing to our church family at this time. If you are considering contributing to our church family at this time we would encourage you to consider setting up a Standing Order. It is also possible for you to make a one-off bank transfer if you so wish.

You can download the Standing Order form here.

You can also download a template of the Standing Order form here.

We realise that digital giving is not for everyone. An alternative way of giving in these current circumstances is by cheque. If giving by this method please indicate which account you would like it to go to (ie. FWO, Missionary or Building). We would ask that you provide a separate cheque for each account as well as contributions cannot be divided into different accounts. Cheques can be sent to our Treasurer, Mr. Billy Smyth. His address is: 8 Aghacully Road, Broughshane, Ballymena, BT43 7JS

Please be aware that it is not possible for us to receive cash at this time. We would ask that no weekly offering envelopes are sent via post. If you would like any more information about any matter relating to finance, Billy’s contact number is 02825 684447. It should also be noted that it will be possible to contribute via the usual means (envelopes etc.) when weekly services resume.

Please understand that this information is in response to questions we have received in the past number of weeks. Let me take this opportunity to thank you all for all of your giving to the work of our church family here in Buckna. We do not take your contributions for granted and wish to thank you all for your kindness and generosity.

Yours in Christ,
