What is Christianity Explored?
Very simply, Christianity Explored is a relaxed and informal way of thinking about the best news you can ever hear and it gives you space and time to think about the big questions of life.
How does it work and what does the course look like?
The course is structured around six sessions. People who come along will read Mark’s Gospel to find out more about the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ.
The structure of each session is really simple: there’s a short Bible study, a talk in the form of a video that we’ll watch together and then a discussion based on the talk.
We’re holding Christianity Explored in our church hall. We’re going to use the main hall. The way it will be set up is that we’ll be seated around tables of 6 to 8 people. Tea and coffee will be available when you arrive. Each night will begin with a short prayer and after that we’ll look at the material together. Each session will last for about 45 minutes to an hour and at the end there’ll be another short prayer.
It might be helpful for you to know that even though Christianity Explored is taking place when our midweek normally takes place, it will be very different to our normal midweek gatherings.
It might also help you to know that there will be no pressure on you to speak or contribute or pray. Christianity Explored is a relaxed and informal way of thinking through the big questions of life.
The course starts on Wednesday 9th October in the church hall from 8pm. If you’re planning to come along it would be great to hear from you. If you have more questions about what the course involves please contact Stephen on 07850234295.
