In case of pastoral emergencies, Rev. John Holmes and Mark will be covering. In the first instance please contact our Clerk of Session, John Robinson, and he’ll put you in touch with either John or Mark.
There will be a slight change in terms of our online presence for the next three weeks. We are going to continue to livestream both services but for the next three weeks they won’t be recorded and posted on Vimeo or the church website. The church podcast also won’t be updated. The livestream will stay up until around Thursday however.
Announcements also won’t be posted on the website each Sunday. If you have any announcements, please pass those on to John Robinson.
The reason for all of that is because there are just a couple of us who have access to the website and Vimeo page – really for online security reasons.
The change to our online presence will also help with the change back to normality. Live-streaming is very useful but it is not a sustainable way for any of us to engage with church. With social distancing coming down to 1 metre from September we may consider changing which services we livestream. We’re meeting safely in person and as many people as possible to join with us in our buildings.
UCB Bible Reading Notes
UCB Bible reading notes available in all vestibules and the church hall this morning. It would be appreciated if you could help with distribution to those unable to come to church.
CD and DVD Distribution
Last Sunday’s services are now available for members of Session to collect and distribute.
As this is my last Sunday before holidays, let me take this opportunity on behalf of myself, Lynn and the girls to say thank you to you as the congregation. It has been a difficult 18 months for us all and we very appreciate the support and help we have received as a family. It’s privilege to be here and we are really enjoying life in the Braid.
I hope you are able to get something of a break yourselves. It’s also our prayer that the restrictions on churches will be lifted very soon. We want to get back to normal life, whatever that looks like. We want to see organisations meeting again and we want to get our building project underway again. Thank you for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.
