Evening Service

Tonight we are meeting for our evening service at 7pm. Stafford Carson will be with us again this evening. I know that many of us appreciated his ministry last week. Let me encourage another good attendance tonight.

Covid Restrictions

Covid restrictions on churches are changing this week. From Wednesday 15th September onwards once you are socially distanced in a pew or seat face coverings may be removed during a service of worship apart from when singing.

When we’re singing we have to wear them and when we’re entering, leaving and moving around our buildings we have to wear them but when we’re sitting socially distanced face coverings can be removed.

Next Sunday is when that change comes into effect for our Sunday services. We all want to be totally free from face coverings but this relaxation should be a great help to us. It should make sitting through a service more comfortable.

Heroes in Training

Heroes in Training is restarting from next Sunday. The key points are as follows: registration is required and can be done online during the week. I’ll post the registration form into the church WhatsApp group. We’re going to run Heroes in both Mobile 2 and the Minor Hall. The maximum number of children we can fit in both venues is 15 meaning there is space for 30 children.

There is a more detailed post on our church website – you can access it by clicking here.

We’re very excited that Heroes in Training is able to resume. Thank you to the core team of leaders who have worked on getting it up and running again.

Our midweek meetings resume this Wednesday. We’re going to meet at 8pm in the church hall. For our first midweek back I’m delighted to say that Claire Robinson is going to be with us to give us an update about her work in Zambia.

I should say that midweek will be held every week for the immediate future. The recent changes to social distancing and the upcoming changes to face coverings should also help with midweek. We’ll be able to sit one metre apart rather than two and from Wednesday we’ll be able to sit socially distance without face coverings.

Let me really encourage you to make a point of coming to midweek as it begins for the new season. It would be great if you could join us on Wednesday night.

Wider World Magazines

Wider World Magazine are available for collection today from Mobile 1. It would be appreciated if you could collect a copy for someone who is unable to attend church.

Join us on FaceBook

If you are a facebook user, then we would invite to to join with us there. Over the coming weeks and months it is our intention to use facebook to provide useful information, highlight upcoming online events and share items of praise that can be used in conjunction with our online services.

We feel this is a great way for our Church to remain active in these uncertain times and to let the wider world have a little glimpse of our life in the Braid.
