Evening Service

Tonight is our harvest evening service and it will be at 7pm. Stafford Carson will be back with us for the final time. We’ll also be meeting to pray before our service in Mobile 1. Our Engine Room prayer time will run between 6.40 and 6.50pm.

Midweek

There will be no midweek this Wednesday evening due to PCI’s General Assembly.

Junior CE

Junior CE will be restarting in person this Wednesday evening from 6.30pm in the church hall. More information about the restart of Junior CE is available here. Parents are asked to complete a general registration form beforehand.

Services Next Sunday

Next Sunday Rev. Jeffrey Blue, minister in Rasharkin Presbyterian, will be taking the morning service and speaking at the evening service. It has been our custom to swap for General Assembly week. Rasharkin Presbyterian haven’t restarted their normal evening services yet and so I will be here to lead the service next Sunday evening.

Restart of PW

PW are planning to have their opening night on Friday 15th October in the church hall at 7.30pm. All ladies of the congregation will be made very welcome. The speaker for the night will be Sophie De Witt. She spoke virtually on the theme for this year, Side by Side, at the recent PW Ladies Conference. Covid restrictions will be in place but it will be great to have a long overdue catchup.

There will be an opportunity to purchase toys etc for the Operation Christmas Child appeal (money going to Vision of Good Hope, Moldova). There will also be wrapped shoe boxes available at £1 (money going to PW projects). Ladies are reminded to bring their mission box money and any subscriptions for the Wider World Magazine. Gifts of toiletries, hats, gloves etc for the Seaman’s Mission will also be accepted on that night as the next meeting won’t be until December.

The final thing you have to remember to bring is your mug so you can have a cup of tea at the end of the meeting!

Restart of GB

GB are planning to restart in person gatherings from 2nd November. There’s more information about the restart of GB on our church website as well as a registration form for parents to complete before the first night.

Restart of BB

All leaders of the Boys Brigade are asked to meet tomorrow (Monday 4th October) at 7.30pm in the church hall to discuss BB restarting.

Join us on FaceBook

If you are a facebook user, then we would invite to to join with us there. Over the coming weeks and months it is our intention to use facebook to provide useful information, highlight upcoming online events and share items of praise that can be used in conjunction with our online services.

We feel this is a great way for our Church to remain active in these uncertain times and to let the wider world have a little glimpse of our life in the Braid.
